Terrarium sizes are measured from the outside glass dimensions; with the molding add another 1" for height (.5" on the bottom and .5" on the top; and .5¿ on the side edges) Great design for snakes and other reptiles! The lid slides open and then has a hole drilled in the metal part of the screen frame where a pin (supplied by us,) locks your lid in place.
